Don and Lace initially met at a party at their dear friends Jill and Vince Chaver's home in November of 2022. A few months later, it was Vince who mentioned to Lace that there was someone he would like her to meet. Don and Lace had their first date on St Patrick's Day, 2023. The luck of the Irish held true and they have been together every since.

They quickly discovered a mutual love for adventure though they may have defined it differently in the beginning - Lace learned the difference between camping at the Four Seasons vs camping in the four seasons..........

Lace ensured Don got a passport and a museum card while he managed to get her involved in off-roading trips, reptile expo, and baseball games.

Don's daughter Hannah and Lace connected easily and then they got to know the rest of each other's families.

In December, 2024 while on vacation with Lace's Aunt Tresa and Uncle Dave in Lace's favorite retreat in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Don proposed to Lace on the side of a mountain. And now with love and excitement for their future together, they are hoping to see everyone in Santa Fe, next February.
